<span lang="EN-US">Lithium ion batteries have been widely applied in portable electronic devices and electric vehicles as high-density energy storage. The significant consumption of lithium is outweighed by the threat to environment battery waste. Recovery valuable metals contained batteries, such Cu foil, one efforts overcome environmental pollution due copper metal. hydrometallurgical method used recovery process, which includes leaching using nitric acid precipitation oxalic acid. material obtained was oxide (CuO), analyzed XRD, SEM-EDX, FTIR determine characteristics sample. XRD analysis showed that crystallinity CuO accordance with database. SEM images confirm presence agglomeration inhomogeneous particle distribution samples. confirmed formation phase, EDX results purity sample, consisted O elements. Based on research, successfully produced from Foil waste.</span>
